Wiser Now

About Relationship

And A Whole Lot More

Around the world and all through time, we contend with many things—nature, space, time, information and money, but most especially, we struggle with relationships. With thousands of years of living on this planet under our belt, why are we still striving to live with ourselves and each other?

Granted, many of our problems are created by unseen forces. Despite that, we seem to lack understanding of how to identify noxious influences, develop our discernment, adjust our own behavior and deal with that which hinders us.

What Shall We Do?

A third of all intimate relationships turn violent. Half of all marriages end in divorce. Sophisticated people get conned. Bestiality, incest and pedophilia are poised to go mainstream. Freak violence against humans and animals is on the rise. Bullying and child abuse are escalating. People in positions of influence are destroying instead of building.

What is at the root of all these missteps and how can we protect ourselves from the suffering they cause? Is there an invisible enemy lurking in our homes, communities and countries? Is there a force at work on our planet that is sucking the life out of us?

To many, it seems so. We can feel it, but we can’t call it by name. What is it?

Any journey to solution starts with acknowledging the problem and getting disturbed enough to take the first step towards getting to the heart of the matter.

Something More Important

In times such as these, perhaps we would be wise to focus on something more important than money; to look deeper than the outer symptoms and try to get to the root cause.

At the end of the day, at the end of a life, what really matters? We think the answers reside in honest relationship.

We see nothing of such power and importance as capacity for relationship—for developing, flowering, giving, receiving, expanding.

Animate life expands with pleasure and contracts with pain. Fear and stress impedes the way.

Wiser Now shines a light on the art and science, the opportunity and risk of relationships. Its contributors bring authoritative insights into assessing, clarifying,  deepening, recovering, restoring relationships. They also bring experience and tools for real life relationship work.

You’ll hear from old and new voices. We think you’ll be amazed and we hope you’ll be served by what we share.

J E Holloway
